ZND Detonation Structure - DEMOS - Linux/C++/Python


Computation of the ZND detonation structure with Cantera has been implemented in C++. A demonstration of how to run the compiled program "znd" is given on the Basic Demo page.

Due to limitations of the Python wrapper for Cantera, the ZND detonation structure cannot be computed solely with Python. For convenience, we have written a Python script that calls our C++ "znd" program from Python via a system call. This page links to demonstrations showing exactly how to simulate a ZND detonation through a Python script template. The following links also contain sample output from these routines to demonstrate the capabilities of the toolbox.
